Inside-out forehand
The primary weapon and the shot that creates most of his front-court opportunities.
The player
01Luca Pellis is an all-court player shaped by long afternoons on clay and an instinct for moving forward when the opening arrives.
Raised in Lugano and now based in Milan, Pellis uses a heavy inside-out forehand to shift the rally before finishing at net. He turned professional in 2021 after serving as training captain at the Meridian Alpine Institute.
Match identity
02His best tennis starts with time: shape the rally, expose the deuce side, then change height or direction.
The primary weapon and the shot that creates most of his front-court opportunities.
Baseline pressure becomes a net finish as soon as the opponent gives up court position.
The current focus is resisting the urge to force forehands early in return games.
